Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, Ranger visited the monument commemorating the last casualty of the Civil War, Maj. Gen. Chamberlain.

Chamberlain died at age 85 due to complications resulting from a wound he received while in military service during the war.  Because of the nature of his death, he is considered a war casualty, although he died many years after the end of the Civil War.
